The first applications for the newBMVI- funding guideline of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in Germany can be submitted from 01.03.2017 to 28.04.2017. The first phase of the funding programme provides 10 million euros for normal charging infrastructure (up to 22 kW) and up to 2,500 fast charging points (from 22 kW). By 2020, 300 million euros are to be invested for the market ramp-up of electromobility.
Eligible expenditure
The subsidy is for investment grants for the acquisition and construction of publicly accessible charging infrastructure. This also includes the necessary grid connections at the charging location and the installation of charging stations.
- Normal and fast charging points: charging points, power electronics, civil engineering, foundations, installation and commissioning, parking lot markings, etc.
- Subsidy amount: Up to max. 40 percent or up to – 3.000 € for normal charging points (up to and including 22 kW) – 12,000 € for fast charging points (< 100 kW) – 30,000 € for fast charging points (> 100 kW)
- Network connection services: network connection, transformer station, construction cost subsidy, buffer storage
- Subsidy amount: Up to max. 40 percent or up to – 5.000 € for the connection to the low voltage grid – 50.000 € for the connection to the medium voltage grid
